CNC Tool Setter- 2nd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY – Responsible for supporting the production cells. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to conduct set up of CNC Mills, benders, and saws for production, as well as load programs, adjust, and program offsets.    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.  WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set up CNC Mills, tube benders, saws, etc. Load programs Adjust benders Program offsets inside controller Adjust saws Tend machines Read blueprints Use and understand gaging Operate forklift when necessary Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations  Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings. SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong mechanical skills  Self-motivated with a results-driven approach  Utilize hand tools, power tools, and various equipment as needed Ability to troubleshoot  Familiarity with CNC machines  Understanding of G & M codes Establish, maintain, and foster cooperative working relations with others in a team environment   POSITION QUALIFICATIONS   Education: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred Experience: Two years of CNC experience preferred Computer Skills:  Must demonstrate computer literacy Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License preferred; Must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification  Other Requirements: Ability to be on call should problems arise outside of normal work hours
