Retail Sales Associate

POSITION SUMMARY — Handle day-to-day operations of the store by providing the highest level of service and satisfaction to customers, meeting monthly sales goals and controlling expenses. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain inventory levels at the retail store Read and interpret instructions for product installations Install truck accessories to meet customer requirements Arrange and display product in a manner that is appealing to customers Promote daily product specials Identify current and future customer needs Address customer complaints and concerns Building cleaning and maintenance Negotiate pricing that is set forth by management Follow open and closing procedures  Post merchandise advertisements on various websites (e.g. Ebay, Craigslist) Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings SKILLS & ABILITIES Mechanical aptitude Operate Forklift Cash handling Ability to multitask Problem solving skills    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS   Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; Associates Degree preferred Experience: Minimum of two years related retail experience, Experience in automotive industry is preferred Computer Skills:  Must demonstrate computer literacy; Proficient using Microsoft Office Certificates & Licenses: Other Requirements:  Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some retail holiday hours; Ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus
