We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Developer with a strong background in legacy systems and enterprise-level applications to join our team for a high-priority project with QLS 1.0 in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe technologies and demonstrate deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and MQ.
Analyze and understand business requirements to translate them into technical specifications.
Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
Perform root cause analysis and provide effective solutions to production issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality deliverables within established timelines.
Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
Proven experience in mainframe application development and support.
Good understanding of batch and online processing.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex mainframe applications.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
