Deep Eddy Psychotherapy and Dallas Counseling & Treatment Center provide a wide range of psychological services through a team of more than 200 clinicians. In order to keep our clinical work running smoothly, we need experts who can scrupulously help us ensure the accuracy of all things related to payroll. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health care and can help meet some of the unmet needs of our growing practice.
Job Description
As a Payroll Administrator / HR Generalist you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing support across various HR functions. You will be responsible for managing payroll processes, administering employee benefits, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with HR-related tasks. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Responsibilities
This role reports to the VP of Finance and involves:
1. Process payroll accurately and on time using payroll software/system.
2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
3. Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, hours worked, bonuses, and deductions.
4. Handle payroll inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
6. Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting required payroll documentation.
7. Maintain personnel files and ensure all employee records are up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.
8. Assist with employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve HR processes and procedures.
10. Stay updated on changes in payroll and HR regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Finance or Chief People Officer
12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions and communications.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge and skills regarding the following:
a. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
b. 2 years of experience in payroll administration and/or HR generalist role.
c. Proficiency in Paycom and Dominion payroll software/systems and Google Office Suite.
d. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and HR best practices.
e. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
f. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
g. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
h. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
i. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
j. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary range: $55,000-$65,000/year
