What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Scientist, Platform Technology position at Deep Genomics?
About Us
Deep Genomics is at the forefront of using artificial intelligence to transform drug discovery. Our proprietary AI platform decodes the complexity of genome biology to identify novel drug targets, mechanisms, and therapeutics inaccessible through traditional methods. With expertise spanning machine learning, bioinformatics, data science, engineering, and drug development, our multidisciplinary team in Toronto and Cambridge, MA is revolutionizing how new medicines are created.
Where You Fit In
The Principal Scientist will join the Platform Technologies team to evaluate, integrate, and advance our capabilities in NGS, genomics, molecular biology, and cellular technologies. The team applies these methods to generate high-quality, proprietary, multi-omics data at scale, which is critical for training and validating AI models to uncover pathway biology and novel biological mechanisms and identifying new therapeutic targets and optimizing nucleic acid therapeutics. This is a highly innovative role requiring: (1) deep expertise in NGS method development, genomic data generation, and molecular biology, (2) passion for advancing cutting-edge genomic technologies, including screening and automation, (3) ability to build production-scale pipelines, leveraging automation for high throughput, scalability, and reproducibility. You will collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Platform Biology, and Computational Biology teams to design experiments, analyze NGS data, and interpret results for cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deep Genomics thanks all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
