FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Overview:
Provide support in the company's general operation through maintaining a safe and secure environment for its employees and visitors.
Essential Functions:
- Secure all exterior entrances/exits, parking lots, and perimeter fences for safety purposes
- Ensure that only Deep Roots/The Source employees with State of Nevada issued Marijuana Agent Cards enter or remain on the property of Deep Roots Harvest
- Security Agents will ID, document, and issue visitor badges to site visitors and arrange for them to be escorted at all times while on company premises
- Effectively direct and control traffic on Company premises
- Perform routine and periodic checks to verify all electronic security systems are properly functioning including, but not limited to; alarms, monitoring cameras, and access control card systems
- Monitor security cameras for safety and compliance purposes
- Effectively respond to disruptive/disgruntled customers or visitors
- Produce evidentiary reports and documentation
- Remain vigilant in identifying problems such as unauthorized personnel, alarms indicating fire, or any other potential safety hazards regarding Deep Roots Harvest employees or visitors to the facility
- Comprehension and demonstration of facility evacuation plans in case of emergency
- Assist employees and guests of the facility in case of an adverse event
- Proficiency in First Aid and the use of AED equipment to render aid in an emergency
- Answer incoming calls to dispensary phone lines and greet customers in a pleasant and professional manner when applicable
- Maintain medical patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations
- Effectively interact with and operate the Dutchie point-of-sale software when applicable
- Maintain open communication with management team and colleagues
- Report employee and customer issues to supervisory staff
- Other duties as assigned

- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, governmental agencies, community members and the public
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License is Required prior to starting to work
- Must possess a clean driving record
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
Working Conditions:
- The working conditions of this position regularly require the employee to be exposed to outdoor elements and seasonal weather conditions, often for extended periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, walking, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors and exposure to the product.
