What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOP Supervisor position at Deep Well Services?
The BOP Supervisor is responsible for assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations in the shop area and field operations including but not limited to primary well control equipment, Power Tongs, Torque and Test equipment. Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Midland/Odessa, TX area.
Duties

- Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
- Supervise all personnel working on preventative maintenance and testing of primary well control equipment.
- Adhere and ensure all shop policies and procedures followed within quality management system.
- Mentor junior employees to assist with their development within the competency system
- Review the work order/maintenance system daily, ensure all items have been scheduled and procured and all necessary maintenance, both internal and external, has been planned and executed.
- Coordinate with business development personnel to ensure assets are available for upcoming jobs.
- Assist manager and service writer with maintaining traceability of assets on DWS whiteboard and electronic maintenance system.
- Assist managers with improving the documentation and standards of the preventative maintenance program.
- File and maintain test records and certifications for all equipment.
- Review and track inventory of critical spare and consumable items ensuring availability.
- Coordinate with DWS dispatch to ensure adequate trucking logistics
- Other project as assigned by management.

Amount of Travel Require: 10%
Reports to: BOP Manager
Direct Reports: BOP Technicians, Ancillary Technicians, Torque Service Hands
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. However, due to the nature of the business, evening and weekend hours may be necessary on occasion.

Skills & Abilities
Minimum 3 years repair and maintenance of oil and gas equipment including well control equipment, power swivels, and power tongs.
Experience: 3 years in maintenance/service and inventory control related work history
Other Requirements: Must maintain a valid driver's license, meet minimum driving requirements for insurance purposes, successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
