Lighting Operator/Designer (Live Event & Show Production)

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Operator/Designer to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with live event lighting and show production. This role involves designing, programming, and operating lighting systems for a wide range of events, from corporate functions to live shows and broadcast productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate lighting for live events, shows, and productions.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to develop creative lighting concepts that enhance the overall production.
  • Program lighting cues and scenes using industry-standard lighting consoles (e.g., Grand MA 3).
  • Ensure proper installation, rigging, and safety compliance of lighting systems.
  • Conduct lighting checks and troubleshoot any technical issues before and during events.
  • Manage and maintain lighting equipment, ensuring all gear is in top condition.
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute changes and deliver high-quality lighting effects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Lighting Operator/Designer for live events, theater, or broadcast productions.
  • Strong understanding of lighting design principles, color theory, and the technical aspects of lighting equipment.
  • Proficiency with lighting consoles and control systems (e.g., Grand MA Lighting.).
  • Knowledge of DMX protocol, lighting fixtures, and signal flow.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary.

This is a dynamic role for a creative professional with a passion for delivering exceptional lighting experiences in live production environments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.78 - $23.82 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
