Job Title: Purchaser – Fiber Internet & Construction

Job Type: Full-Time

Introduction: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our growing team at Deeply Digital, a leader in fiber internet infrastructure and construction. As a Purchaser, you will play a key role in sourcing and acquiring the materials, equipment, and services necessary to support our projects and operations. Your expertise in procurement will ensure we maintain a smooth supply chain and high-quality standards while keeping costs within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management: Source, evaluate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services required for fiber optic network construction and internet infrastructure projects.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and ensure timely reordering of materials to avoid delays in construction projects. Manage inventory across various project sites and warehouse locations.
• Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Work closely with project managers and finance teams to track and manage procurement costs. Ensure adherence to budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials and equipment meet the company’s quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Coordinate with construction teams to resolve any material or equipment issues.
• Order Processing: Create and manage purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier communications. Provide regular reports on procurement status, costs, and supplier performance.
• Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and innovations in the fiber internet and construction industries. Proactively seek out new suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (3 years) in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the fiber optic, telecommunications, or construction industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Familiarity with procurement software.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment specific to fiber internet construction (e.g., cables, network hardware, trenching equipment) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with fiber optic cable procurement and related materials.
• Familiarity with construction project timelines and workflow.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing project needs.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
