Role Description
DeepWalk is seeking a Full Stack Developer for a full-time hybrid role (2-3 days a week in-office). We’re looking for someone who can create practical, performant interfaces for our React internal tooling and take responsibility for end-to-end feature development for our web application, from UI to backend API implementation. You’ll work closely with our operations team and other full-stack developers to develop innovative solutions for project and data management.

Internal Onboarding Tooling
- Develop tools that streamline and automate our internal onboarding processes.
- Ensure new projects and team members can get started quickly and efficiently.
- Refactor internal project management tools to handle a 10x increase in sidewalk data (from 1,000 miles processed to 10,000 miles).
- Improve efficiency, scalability, and data handling.
- Develop a region-based processing system that segments projects into standard areas.
- Optimize data analysis and quality control (QA) processes.
- Integrate AI-assisted annotation to speed up and improve manual data labeling.
- Add support for First-Person View (FPV) images and videos to enhance sidewalk inspections.
- Develop a tracking system for key performance metrics within our custom annotation pipeline.
- Take full responsibility for our internal tooling platform.
- Maintain and expand its functionality over time.
We’re seeking a developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving real-world infrastructure challenges through software.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience developing data-intensive web applications using TypeScript and React.
- 1 years of experience building and integrating RESTful APIs (Node.js/Express preferred).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and front-end web technologies.
- High-level understanding of database design and ability to write SQL queries, with or without ORMs.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and storage solutions (AWS preferred).
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- GIS & mapping interfaces (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet, ArcGIS).
- HTML5 canvas libraries (e.g., Fabric.js or similar).
- Python for backend automation or data processing.
- Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
