Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterile.
- Perform medical documentation accurately, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology to assist in creating dental impressions and models.
- Apply aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards throughout the practice.
- Monitor vital signs of patients as required before, during, and after procedures.
- Handle medical coding for billing purposes, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
- Manage dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
- Understanding of endodontics and related procedures is beneficial.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Ability to monitor vital signs effectively.
- Experience with dental receptionist systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification is preferred.
