POSITION: K-12 Physical Education/HS Health Teacher (2022-2023 School Year)
SALARY RANGE: $36,030. (Depending on Experience) Licensed Staff Salary Schedule plus Comprehensive Benefits Package.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
- Minimum of B.A. or B.S. in K-12 Physical Education. Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teacher’s Certificate/License from Colorado Department of Education.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction in standards-based classroom preferred
- Ability to coordinate with other staff members to plan instructional goals, objectives and methods
- Demonstrate student management, positive relationships, academic and physical education success with elementary/middle/high school students
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with both students/parents K-12.
- Selects, organizes, maintains curriculum, academic instruction in orderly environment
- Physical education teachers ensure the physical education curriculum promotes a physically active lifestyle; develops cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship and provides ample opportunity for students to engage in regular physical activity that promotes normal growth and development.
- Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual in English & Spanish desirable
- Support a school’s shared vision and common goals regarding physical education and physical activity
- Coaching opportunities available and expected at Middle School & High School Level

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Assignment starting date: August, 2023.
- Four-day school week (7:30 – 4:30) (165 day contract)
- All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to approval of the BOE.
- Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
- No smoking allowed in any Deer Trail 26J School District building.
