Job Summary
Oversee retail operations and staffing for the front store, including the café. Provide excellent customer service and be a leader to the retail team. Manages retail staff and suggests changes to inventory, pricing and product selection. Monitors quality of goods and service. Responsible for department staff training, assignments, and scheduling.
Job Responsibilities
Make sure the retail team is providing excellent customer service at all times.
Greet all customers and provide quality personalized service.
Be knowledgeable on all baked items in the store and train staff on product knowledge.
Upsell items to customers in a friendly manner.
Train the retail staff and monitor behavior for continued excellent customer service.
Be service oriented with high energy and a positive friendly demeanor.
Coach, mentor and lead direct reports to accomplish goals set by yourself and owners.
Replenish products according to the customers demand and needs.
Make sure product in cases are always fresh, rotated and pulled when expired.
Ensure that bakery items are baked according to the customers’ tastes and needs. If you see product that does not appear appealing tell an owner immediately to rectify.
Trouble shoot issues and customer complaints and work with owners as issues arise.
Evaluate product quality, selection, condition and merchandising throughout the store repeatedly throughout the shift.
Ensure the store is always clean and visually appealing with proper merchandising.
Make sure all signage and product labels are always out. Have signage made if you are missing anything.
Follow daily cleaning schedule and opening and closing daily list.
Monitor and track daily and weekly waste.
Order daily store stock and adjust daily as needed to control waste.
Responsible for staff scheduling and monitoring the hours within the department.
Make suggestions on flavors, changes, & enhancements based on customer feedback.
Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.
Must have Food Service Supervisor experience in order to be considered.
Salary based on experience with bonus potential.
