Job Overview
The PM Kitchen Line Cook is a full time position responsible for all aspects food production and presentation. This is a high impact, high intensity position which requires extreme professionalism, and over-the-top service to customers and co-workers alike. This person will carry out the job in accordance with established recipes.
Essential Functions
- Understands and upholds Chico’s Mission, Employment Guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Understands and promotes Chico culture by engaging all others with a positive
- Enthusiastic attitude at all times.
- Is responsible for proper, timely preparation of food and orders, following house recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Participates in creation/implementation of menu specials.
- Is expected, on own initiative, to fill down time with productive side work.
- Is responsible for daily opening and closing procedures.
- Is responsible for following protocol for call-in and/or covering shifts.
- Is responsible for providing Great Service to guests and team members.
- Maintains the highest level of cleanliness in kitchen area and all BOH work areas. Delegates work to kitchen staff as needed to achieve this.
- Accepts direction from supervisors, works cooperatively with others, and helps maintain a professional and friendly work environment.
- Attends monthly department huddles, providing clear and constructive input for the staff.
- Is responsible for upholding guidelines for self and staff regarding dress code and personal hygiene.
- Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation and food-safe handling standards.
- Participates in Chico’s Passport program. Attends necessary classes and completes Passports in the prescribed time frame.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Has excellent communication skills.
- First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Has core Customer Service skills and training.
- Has experience as Line Cook in classic fine dining kitchen.
- Has knowledge Aloha Systems.
- Has complete knowledge of Chico Hot Springs history and property.
- Has ability to multi-task and work with high detail.
- Able to reach, bend, and stoop.
- Able to lift or carry 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Able to work with full use of both hands.
- Able to work in heat over 80 degrees
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Able to work irregular and long hours as needed.
