Position Summary:
Burrow Global, LLC is seeking Junior, Mid, and Senior Process Engineers to join the Beaumont, TX office. Process Engineers will be responsible for supporting the development and design of process systems for EPC projects, specifically in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical industries. Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that process designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Collaborate with the lead process engineer to develop process design and associated deliverables, including process design basis, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and cause and effect matrices.
- Work with the lead process engineer to solve hydraulic, heat, and mass transfer problems, including data collection and model development, and recommend solutions to meet client objectives.
- Size and specify pressure relief devices according to client requirements and relevant codes (e.g., API Standards 520/521, ASME Section XIII).
- Size equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, mass transfer equipment, and pressure vessels; support mechanical engineers in developing technical specifications and reviewing drawings.
- Develop deliverables to document required operating and design conditions for piping, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Participate in process hazard analyses (PHA) and assist in resolving action items.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for piping systems using modeling tools and software.
- Review vendor drawings to ensure process technical requirements are met.
- Communicate regularly with project teams and clients to convey technical information, identify issues, and develop solutions.
- Provide detailed engineering support throughout the project, ensuring quality assurance and timely completion.
Education and Qualifications:
Junior Process Engineer:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles such as heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Preferred: Internship or plant experience.
Mid-Level Process Engineer:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to solve complex engineering problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and engineering-specific software/tools.
- Preferred: Experience with EPC projects in the Oil, Gas, or Chemical industries.
Senior Process Engineer:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in chemical engineering principles and experience leading complex process design projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products and engineering software/tools.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead teams in high-impact projects.
- Preferred: Significant EPC project experience and leadership responsibilities.
