Job Description: As a Civil/Structural Designer at Burrow Global, you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of department deliverables related to civil/structural equipment, components, structures, or systems. You will meticulously review detailed sketches and drawings, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to product improvements and cost reductions.
Responsibilities:
- Check and verify the accuracy of detailed sketches and drawings for project applicability and optimal construction.
- Verify drawings prepared by others, ensuring compliance with specifications and codes, equipment compatibility, and cost-saving measures.
- Analyze proposed changes for fit and interference issues, recommending solutions or alternate construction options.
- Maintain proper file management by company and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project success.
- Track and maintain awareness of project schedules and budgets.
- Confirm discipline-specific drawing quality and consistency, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Comply with all company and client health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards and federal and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s degree from a technical institution is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, or refining industry preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required; proficiency in CADWorx and PDMS software is preferred.
- Project lead experience is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to generate new concepts or ideas and make decisions to solve problems or achieve goals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to comprehend engineering drawings and instructions.
