What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer position at Default Brand ATX?
We are currently recruiting for a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our extraordinary engineering team in Duluth, Georgia. ATX Networks offers and outstanding work environment and a competitive compensation package.
Reporting to the Director, SW and Test Engineering, the Sr Manufacturing Test Engineer will work closely with the ATX RF Product Development team and our Manufacturing partners in the US and Canada to develop and implement detailed test plans and test software for the HFC Outside Plant RF Amplifiers and Nodes. The role will be located with the Atlanta based RF product development team.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Detailed test planning and test support for all RF products developed at ATX
- Test planning will start with development test strategies including automation and carry over into the Manufacturing environment
- Work closely with the RF product development team in the planning and design of test plans and test stations with a keen eye toward automation of both the testing and data collection
- Research, evaluate and develop test methodologies and test equipment to optimize test coverage and minimize test time in production
- Responsible for the overall design, development, and maintenance of test automation software for use in both the development and manufacturing environment
- Work in close cooperation with the manufacturing partners acting as the point of interface in the planning and execution of the test platforms at their manufacturing locations
- Perform or facilitate testing of the product / system as required to validate the test station software designs and generate data sets for internal reviews
- Follow our ATX development process and documentation requirements during the new product development programs as required
- Provide schedule estimate inputs as needed for project planning and participate in ongoing program update activities providing as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing test software design experience preferably working within an RF product development environment and supporting a manufacturing test environment
- Prefer strong background in multiple scripting languages (Python, Java, VB, etc) and test automation software development with real-time test equipment
- Labview and TestStand experience strongly preferred
- Python development experience strongly preferred
- RF test software development exposure also strongly preferred
- Background in delivering quality test station designs in a timely fashion, with a high degree of quality and longevity including support of root-cause investigations as required both in-house and at the manufacturing site(s)
- Good documentation and communication skills for both internal and external facing communications.
