Here’s the scoop - Summary

The Global Enterprise Effectiveness PMO Director will have three primary areas of responsibility. The first area will be focused on the overall ownership and digitization of the S&OP process by leveraging digital transformation tools. The second area will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the Champion leadership team programs and projects to enhance existing processes, improve follow through, and contribute to the overall organizational goals. As part of this responsibility, the preferred candidate will have experience in leading digital, enterprise transformations. The third area will be line manager for PMO team and executive administrative associates who support the ELT. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide transformations supported by strong change management as well as experience in leading the S&OP process in other business units. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, organization, collaboration, and influencing skills and be known for managing and measuring programs to fuel a high-performance culture which positively impacts the engagement of the Champion leadership team. General scope of work includes creating effective processes, executing projects in collaboration with the leadership team, and measuring key outcomes for Champion Petfoods, that may evolve based upon business needs

The successful candidate will be based out of our Corporate office in Boulder, Colorado and report to the Global President.

What a typical day looks like

S&OP Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of cross-functional members to deliver enterprise initiatives from PMR to MBR.
  • Leveraging best practice of S&OP execution, coach, consult, and guide each step leader and team on how to continuously improve each step and create efficiencies by leveraging digital platforms.
  • Partner with S&F on MBR to continuously increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the leadership forum.
  • Proactively manage calendars and conflicts to ensure full leadership team participation. Create feedback loops across each step to understand where the process is working well and where adjustment is needed.

ELT Effectiveness and Enterprise, Digital Program Implementation Responsibilities:

  • Drive ELT effectiveness, efficiency and decision-making through management and continuous improvement of key forums by leverage digital platforms and best practices from MARS digital transformations.
  • Collaborate effectively with executive leadership team members and functional area partners to implement agreed upon enterprise programs and projects.
  • Partner closely with Champion President on key trade-offs and program deliverables to ensure we are achieving key milestones and timelines.
  • Must be able to work through highly complex and interdependent project plans.
  • Work with leadership team on contingency planning and risk modeling of key enterprise projects along with understanding the intersection between key programs such as innovation deployment and customer annual plans Develop metrics to track the success and ROI of implemented programs and present findings to leadership.
  • Schedule, facilitate and ensure end-to-end delivery of ELT and Top 50 team meetings including managing logistics, helping shape agendas, capturing notes/content, summarizing recommendations and decision-making, and ownership of next steps communications.
  • In conjunction with ELT team and EAs, maintain a “living calendar” around all critical meetings.
  • Maintain ELT Teams site to ensure we have ongoing knowledge management being captured and stored in a central repository.

Line Manager for PMO & Executive Admin Associates

  • Proactively coach and develop PMO team of 4 associates who are based in Edmonton, Canada.
  • Proactively coach and develop 2 executive administrative associates who support the ELT based in Boulder, Colorado.
  • Utilizing the Great Line Management framework, line manage the PMO & EAs to ensure they have the business context, clarity in relevant business topics, and can execute with excellence.
  • Strategically allocate work across the team to ensure there is proper coverage for core responsibilities and manage ad-hoc work as needed.

What you'll bring

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of PMO and/or effectiveness experience with leadership teams.
  • 5 years of team leadership and managing managers.
  • S&OP experience working at senior levels, or demonstrated strength in people leadership and balancing cross functional stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of S&OP framework and understands its application in solving business needs and ability to provide guidance.
  • 5 years of leading enterprise transformation programs with a digital focus.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated capability in building strategies at the functional leadership level and enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated experience using the S&OP framework to drive business results and improve decision making effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading medium scale change management (ex. functional level change initiatives).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in presentation and communications technology, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Motivated, energetic, goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
