Summary
We are seeking an Administrative and Marketing Specialist to join our team at Defender Outdoors. This position combines marketing, administration, and HR responsibilities in a fun, dynamic role that supports our operations and contributes to the success of our Marketing department and facility. This position is Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00am-5:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and distributing weekly marketing emails.
- Help manage, schedule and publish engaging content on social media platforms.
- Monitor social media analytics, direct messages and comments, and engage with followers.
- Maintain and update Training class schedules on the company website as well as internal calendars.
- Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and respond to voicemails and emails promptly and professionally.
- Order, receive, and manage office and facility supplies.
- Prepare meeting agendas, reserve conference rooms, and coordinate company meetings.
- Coordinate HR interview schedules and conduct new employee orientation.
- Provide ongoing support to the Marketing Director with various daily tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Creativity and the ability to generate engaging content.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently as well as contribute to a team environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.74 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
