Material Handler/Machine Operator

Defender Services, a company that hires workers for manufacturing facilities, is seeking FULL TIME MATERIAL HANDLERS/MACHINE OPERATORS for a manufacturing plant in CHERAW, SC.

Shift Available: Machine Operator/Material Handler 2nd (4pm-12am) and 3rd shift (12a-8am) Monday thru Friday with some weekends when necessary

Shift Available: 2nd Knitter operator (4pm-12am but candidate must be able to train on 1st shift 8a-4pm for at least 4 weeks)

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
• Must have good vision(eye test administered on site)
• Must be able to stand/push/pull/bend/lift for 8-hour shift
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Must be comfortable threading yarn into machine when necessary
• Must be willing to wear all required PPE
• Must adhere to all safety protocols

Shift Available: Tenter frame assistant operator [shift can vary between 1st(8a-4p) & 2nd(4p-12a) shift]

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
• Must have good vision and pays attention to detail(eye test administered on site)
• Must have previous machine operator experience at least at minimum 2 consistent years
• Must be able to stand, push, pull, walk, and bend for 8-hour shift
• Must be able to use sewing machine when necessary
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while working in hot & cold conditions
• Must be willing to wear all required PPE
• Must adhere to all safety protocols

Shift Available: 3rd shift Waterjets loom cleaner(12a-8am but candidate must be able to train on 1st(8a-4p) for at least 1 week)

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
• Must be able to stand, squat, push, pull, walk, bend, and lift 25 pounds bend for 8-hour shift
• Must be able to follow directions to properly clean machines as well as be able to use a pressure washer to clean machines
• Must be able to work in damp, wet environment
• Must be able to use necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning solution required for daily cleaning
• Must have manufacturing experience at least 1 consistent year or better
• Must be willing to wear all required PPE
• Must adhere to all safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.22 - $15.23 per hour
