Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-term collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, focusing on risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
- Conduct supplier segmentation and capability analysis to tailor relationship management strategies based on criticality to industry.
- Perform risk assessments and implement innovative sourcing strategies to enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Prepare high-level talking points and presentation materials for senior leaders, ensuring clarity and visual appeal.
- Track multiple projects and actions concurrently, exercising independence in planning and execution.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on procurement strategies and supplier performance.
- Apply pre-award and post-award procurement functions, particularly within DoD sustainment.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR/AFAR) and other relevant procurement policies.
- Identify and evaluate supplier capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and procurement goals.
- Manage procurement data analysis and reporting, utilizing advanced Excel and business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
- Facilitate contract negotiations and supplier agreements to optimize cost savings and operational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier management strategies.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- 5 years of directly traceable experience
- Ability to critically think: Ability to review reports, check validity, reliability, and relevance�explaining steps and rationale for positions and data provided.
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, focusing on risk mitigation and operational efficiency
- Ability to effectively communicate their ideas clearly and visually using slides, by delivering information in a confident and engaging manner, structuring a presentation logically, and utilizing PowerPoint features to create visually appealing slides that support their message and high-level talking points for senior leader use.
- Proven ability communicate with and maintain a network of key stakeholders.
- Experienced in pre-award and/or post-award functions to contract for a variety of specialized equipment, services � DoD sustainment knowledge is critical
- Experience segmenting suppliers based on criticality to industry and tailoring relationship management strategies
- Ability to track multiple projects and actions at one time. Independence in planning and carrying out assignments, selecting the approach or methodology to be used, resolving most of the conflicts that arise, and coordinating the work with others, as necessary.
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR/AFAR) or unique regulatory requirements pertinent to diverse procurements.
