What are the responsibilities and job description for the PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST position at Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency?

DCSA's Vetting Risk Operations Office (VRO) is looking for recent college students, Personnel Security Specialists, government employees, and military personnel to help us conduct routine, standardized assignments in support of Continuous Evaluation Operations. As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will support the review, validation and coordination of alerts generated by the DoD Continuous Evaluation program in support of multiple stakeholders. Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:

For the GG-07: You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-05) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for the GG-07 position includes: Knowledge of related day to day and in-depth analysis and evaluation of Continuous Evaluation (CE) alerts. Assists with technical guidance, and interpreting policy in all aspects of CE/Continuous Vetting (CV). Serving as an additional source of information relating to the CE/CV program and provides upper echelon officials with guidance concerning applicable data sources and references relating to general and specific policies, procedures, court decision and peripheral programs impacting the personnel security and CE/CV mission OR a Conferred Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

For the GG-09: You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-07) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for the GG-09 position includes: Providing expertise related to the day to day and in-depth analysis and evaluation of Continuous Evaluation (CE) alerts. Providing technical guidance, and interpreting policy in all aspects of CE/Continuous Vetting (CV). Serving as an authoritative source of information relating to the CE/CV program and provides upper echelon officials with guidance concerning applicable data sources and references relating to general and specific policies, procedures, court decision and peripheral programs impacting the personnel security and CE/CV mission OR have a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree or LL.B. or J.D.

5. Integrity/Honesty: Contributes to maintaining the integrity of the organization; displays high standards of ethical conduct and understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self, and others; is trustworthy.
