About the Job
Serve as a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist providing care to adult patients with both acute and chronic illnesses of all complexities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine, diagnose, treat, and follow patients with a wide range of medical problems, including heart failure, kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, liver disease, cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and thyroid disorders.
- Order laboratory and radiologic studies appropriately to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
- Serve as an attending physician and leader of an inpatient medicine team, supervising, teaching, objectively evaluating, and providing consultation to other healthcare providers.
- Perform military medical board and Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) evaluations.
- Rend urgent treatment and hospitalize patients as required.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant's graduation.
- Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
