Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric diagnosis, identified problems, and treatment needs for each case.
- Utilize social work systems and psychological theories, principals, and techniques in treatment plan development.
- Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include factors such as history of trauma, co-occurring conditions, and suicide.
- Provide individual and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Education: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting comprehensive evaluations; providing psychotherapy; and developing treatment plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
