Overview
This position is located within the Department of Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, a fully accredited 110-bed regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Liberty.
We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks. The central North Carolina location offers seasonably pleasant weather year-round, with easy access to I-95 and nearby attractions such as first-class golfing venues, renowned universities, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior medical advisor/consultant on critical medical programs related to infectious diseases, including emerging infections caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, and other threats to public health.
- Communicate through writing to perform hospital administration-related work, conveying information in policy memorandums, procedure guides, and funding justifications.
- Apply new medical methods, approaches, and technology, or extend, revise, and adapt existing methodology to new and unusual situations.
- Provide direct services to patients, performing diagnostic, preventative, or therapeutic services in the hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics.
- Exercise supervisory authorities and responsibilities, including work assignment and reviews, administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required.
- Board Certified.

- Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
