ASSESSMENT FACTORS

1. Designs solutions that address the complex, sensitive, and multi-faceted issues, thereby maximizing organizational impact.2. Applies comprehensive knowledge of technical concepts and demonstrates proficiency related to mission specialty by independently achieving successful mission outcomes.3. With guidance, seeks opportunities to collaborate or help solve a problem outside of his / her immediate team4. Extensive professional experience using and guiding others in using the primary Adobe CC and Autodesk Maya or other 3D applications to conceptualize and execute complex multimedia design requirements.5. Extensive professional experience independently managing complex multimedia projects, working with highly technical customers, and briefing upper and / orexecutive leadership.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS

1. Experience using a 3D scanner and 3D modeling, texturing and lighting a variety of different physical objects for use in 3D PDF and other interactive mediums.2. Extensive experience working or leading in a fast paced, team oriented, creative environment.3. Experience with exhibit design or fabrication, 3D printers.

Education

Undergraduate and Graduate Education : Major study commercial art, fine arts, arthistory, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visualcommunication, or other fields related to the position. Some positions may also requiresubject-matter knowledge of medicine, science, or technical equipment.Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above thehigh school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience ona month-for-month basis.

ExperienceGeneral Experience (for GG-5 positions) : Experience that demonstrated the skills andcreativity needed to use the tools or equipment associated with the work. Because talentand creative ability are vital to successful work performance, samples of work or othersuitable evidence of technical competence may be required. Unpaid experience that ispertinent should be credited based upon its relevance to the work of the particularposition to be filled. To be qualifying, the work must have involved visualcommunication of information or the application of the principles of artistic design.

Specialized Experience (for positions above GG-5) : Experience in the actual type of workfor which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work donewas of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. Thisincludes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, andother art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds ofvisual material for use in communicating information through visual means.

Additional information

DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency's conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit / Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD / EFT) Program.
