About the Position:
As a Foreign Language Teacher - Korean (Associate Professor) at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, you will serve as an integral part of our team responsible for teaching intermediate and advanced level Korean courses.
Job Summary:
- Teach six hours per day, five days a week, with some exceptions
- Tutor students on language skills, cultural norms, and communicative competencies
- Maintain course materials, instructional resources, and curriculum development
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to meet student needs and learning objectives
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and develop assessment tools
- Develop and implement effective teaching methods, including technology-based tools
- Promote academic excellence and engage students through interactive lectures and discussions
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Master's degree in Linguistics, Education, or a related field
- At least four years of experience in teaching, research, or program management
- Languages: English (Level 2) and Korean (Level 3)
