Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Serves as the Accountable Officer for the Defense Distribution Center. Responsible for ensuring maintenance and administration of the Defense Distribution Center Inventory Accuracy Program is accomplished. Evaluate and plan programs through all legal authorities and changing official policy, operating official views, program information and analysis and statistical data. Participates in the development and interpretation of DLA policy and procedures. Develops mandatory reports including Inventory Control Effectiveness report and Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss. Monitors inventory program for independence and separation of duties. Assists Depot Commander / Director in resolving local customer problems through meeting with customers, researching problems and working with the distribution center Inventory staff and the Commander. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications A. Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off / closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes : Analyzes mission for comparison to industry resource standards and performance. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees and provides training. Performs studies and system reviews for the Inventory program to make improvements to the accuracy of the physical balance records. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
