Packing Clerk

Defibtech is seeking a Packing and Shipping Specialist responsible for packing and shipping in accordance with specified procedures and quality guidelines. This position is based on site at our Branford manufacturing facility.Core Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities will be packing and shipping of AEDs and other accessory products. Verify that item number and quantities match the sales order pick list on every order. Overpack required parts and provide dunnage fill to prevent damage during the shipping process. Capture accurate information as required by our ERP (Epicor) system (i.e., serial numbers, lots etc.) Ensure that orders are complete with packing lists and carton content information in an enclosed packing list envelope. Process orders through our delivery service system, placing shipping labels and proper labeling to ensure that they can be tracked and delivered by our carriers. Practice safe handling, lifting, and driving procedures and ensure cleanliness of work area is maintained through the day. Prepares documentation, maintains records, coordinates logistics for product shipment. Demonstrates Defibtechs values on the job. Promotes and participates in continuous improvement. Actively supports compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including but not limited to FDA, Quality Systems Regulations, safety regulations and applicable statutes).Qualifications / Requirements : Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred. Previous experience shipping and / or shipping using freight forwarders in a regulated industry is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with computers and ability to learn new programs quickly. Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic. Flexibility and availability to work overtime as needed. Team player with ability to adapt quickly to changes in work assignments based on customer needs.

• Work Environment and Physical Demands :
• Work is based in a light manufacturing setting. Medium work that includes frequently lifting and carrying objects up to 30lbs; pushing / pulling loads up to 50lbs assisted using a hand truck; standing 6-8 hours per day.
