Warehouse/Fleet Manager

Overview
Definitive Industrial Group, Inc., is seeking a full time, dedicated and experienced candidate to oversee our Warehouse & Fleet operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards. As a Warehouse & Fleet Manager, this candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our transportation processes while supervising warehouse operations and collaborating with various departments to enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities

· Oversee Warehouse Operations: Manage daily activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution of equipment and goods. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by implementing regular cleaning procedures, establishing and maintaining clear organization systems, while also prioritizing safety.

· Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, ensure timely replenishment, manage orders and generate reports.

· Space Optimization: Evaluate storage capacity and ensure efficient use of warehouse space.

· Logistics: Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

· Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and manage warehouse equipment and company vehicles including, but not limited to, fuel consumption, driver management and compliance with vehicle regulations.

· Quality Control: Ensure the quality and condition of equipment and goods that are received and shipped.

· Safety and Security: Implement and maintain safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including receipts, and shipments.

· Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or problems that arise in the warehouse.

· Reporting: Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels.

· Budgeting: Manage the warehouse budget and ensure that expenses are kept within limits.

Reducing Operational Costs: Identifying opportunities for cost savings in warehouse operations.

· Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, staff, and customers.

· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions about inventory management.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.

· Experience in budgeting and financial management related to fleet operations.

· Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel and Word)

· Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
