Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing estimates for repairs, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and a passion for the automotive industry, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and timely assessments of their vehicle repair needs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repair costs, including parts and labor.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with technicians and management to ensure accurate assessments and efficient workflow.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry standards.
- Utilize auto estimating software to create comprehensive reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the estimating process.
- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive sales or auto service management is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices, including tire service and brake repair.
- Experience in auto estimating and automotive repair processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software related to auto estimating.
