Position Overview:

As a GM Certified Technician at DeFOUW Automotive, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering world-class service to our customers. You’ll work on the latest GM models, utilizing advanced diagnostics and repair techniques to keep vehicles running like new. With your expertise, you'll play an integral role in ensuring our customers’ satisfaction and the longevity of their vehicles. Key Responsibilities:

• Expert Diagnostics & Repairs: Use your GM certification to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and perform precise, high-quality repairs across a variety of GM vehicles.
• Cutting-Edge Technology: Work with the most up-to-date GM tools and diagnostic equipment, staying ahead of the curve in automotive repair.
• Efficiency & Quality: Complete repairs with precision and efficiency, ensuring that vehicles are serviced right the first time and get back on the road quickly and safely.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with service advisors, fellow technicians, and management to provide seamless customer service. Collaborate on tricky diagnoses and share insights with the team.
• Customer Communication: Communicate technical information clearly to both customers and service advisors, ensuring customers understand their vehicle’s needs and the work being performed.
• Ongoing Training: Participate in GM’s continuous training programs to keep your skills sharp and stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and innovations.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and service guidelines to ensure the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• GM Certified Technician: Must be a GM Certified Technician with a solid understanding of GM vehicle systems.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably working with GM vehicles.
• In-Depth Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Tools: Must have your own set of hand tools (we provide some specialty equipment).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Commitment to Quality: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to performing top-notch work that meets GM factory standards.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and approachable way.
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, supporting and learning from fellow technicians and service advisors.
• Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
