Position Summary
The Service Scheduler is a vital position, you will be responding to customers who contact us by phone, email, or online chat as well as making outgoing calls to set appointments for various services within the dealership. The Service Scheduler is responsible for coordinating customer service requests, they monitor and adjust the daily schedule as needed. This position is responsible for collaborating with service managers, office staff, sales staff, and customers. This position may also support various departments outside the BDC.
- Enhance the DeFOUW Automotive brand through excellent, courteous, and professional communication while maintaining the utmost quality standards as required.
- Manage inbound calls in a timely manner.
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, relay the customer to the appropriate party/department.
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile.
- Scanning, printing, and copying of prints and documents.
- Gives directions/information to callers.
- Rescheduling or canceling service appointments in a timeous manner.
- Conduct outbound calls to schedule customers for various services within the dealership.
- Voice pages staff and makes announcements via Internal Paging System
- Respond to email and voicemail messages in a timely manner.
- Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
- Participate in ongoing skill, compliance, risk management and security training as required for the position and apply knowledge in daily tasks.
- Supports and demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Excellent telephone, writing and typing skills
- Excellent communication skills (Good verbal skills and a clear speaking voice)
- A desire and ability to work in a performance and process driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must be self-directed, exhibit team member attributes, and have “customer-first” skills.
- Initiative-taker and self-motivator
- Comfortable with computers and technology systems
- Must have the drive and desire to meet production goals and expectations

- Bilingual, English & Spanish is a plus
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license and the ability to meet minimum insurance requirements set by the insurance carrier at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
