Litigation Attorney Los Angeles Area

Job Description DeHay & Elliston, a nationally recognized litigation firm, seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join our LA office. This position requires a candidate who is an active member of the California State Bar with a minimum of ten years of experience as a litigation attorney, with priority given to attorneys with three to five years in asbestos defense.Qualifications and Skills : Civil litigation or toxic tort / asbestos defense experience preferred.Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.Excellent organizational, time management, research, and analytical skills.Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large caseload.Ability and willingness to look at a problem from a new or different perspective and design a unique solution.Must have ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.Experience in billing required.Job Duties : Working up a case from initial client contact to trial (under the guidance of a supervising Partner).Preparing and responding to discovery.Preparing and arguing motions, including dispositive motions.Taking percipient and expert depositions.Trial preparation and support.Job Type : Full-timeExperience and Requirements : Attorney : 10 years (Preferred)Active Member of California State Bar (Required)The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $230,000 to $300,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as education, training, and other responsibilities.
