Harvest Cellar Hand
We are seeking a highly motivated Harvest Cellar Hand to join our team for the 2025 harvest season at Dehlinger, a family-owned and operated winery in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley.
The successful candidate will assist our winemaking team in producing high-quality Estate grown Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from our Estate Vineyards within the Laguna Ridge neighborhood.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facility and equipment cleaning and set up
- Confined space entry procedures and monitoring
- Electric forklift operation (certified)
- Scissor lift operation
- Pump operation and maintenance
- Euromachines AS10 destemmer setup and operation
- Fermentation monitoring and sampling
- Transfer of grape stems to compost
- Winemaking nutrient additions
- Cooperage preparation and bottling
Working Conditions:
The Harvest Cellar Hand will work a variable schedule, typically 6 days per week during peak harvest periods (September and October), and 5 days per week during non-peak periods. Compensation is $20 per hour with overtime based on California law.
Requirements:
- Possession of a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Previous wine industry and forklift experience
- Coursework in Viticulture and/or Enology
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks and work long hours on a flexible schedule
