Summery
Deister is in immediate need of machine operators on 2nd shift. A $2 shift premium is paid for 2nd shift work. Sets up and operates CNC beam drill by performing the following duties.
Duties
- Reads work order or blueprints to locate holes on stock, to determine and verify dimensions and tolerances, material, spindle tension, cutting speed, feed rate, table angle, and positions of table stops and guides
- Programs machine for hole drilling
- Turns controls to set prescribed cutting speed, feed rate, and table angle
- Loosens table stops and guides and positions them to align and secure work piece
- Places stock on table and clamps it into position
- Makes precision grills using magnifier to see layout lines
- Calculates and marks layout lines
- Checks holes after material comes off the drill
- Keeps machine clean and conducts daily checks on machine
- Orders angles from stock or Burn Dept
- Orders inserts and stay up on tooling
- Maintains and orders proper amounts of stock material
- Unloads steel trucks and places stock in proper location using forklift
- Additional duties may be added as machine capabilities expand
Qualifications
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must be able to read a tape measure, protractor and understand shop orders & drawings: Understand degrees /- and LH & RH
- Must have good attendance
- Mustbe able to work overtime
- Must work well with others

Pay: From $19.99 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
