Safety Assistant

DUTIES :

• Process work injury.
• Monitor / prepare reports for environmental reporting (IDEM,FESOP, etc).
• Submit purchase requests for various needs.
• Schedule waste disposal.
• Update employee rosters for Toolbox Huddles, trainings, and certifications
• Schedule follow-up and make-up OSHA Hearing Conservation Program.
• Schedule annual sprinkler system, fire extinguisher, and lifting device inspections.
• Creates safety flyers for various events and trainings
• Updates SDS binders and distribute, as needed.
• Copy and distribute updated written Safety Policies to Supervisors, annually.
• Create forklift inspection binders for each Production Department, annually.
• Assist with PPE assessments and job safety assessments
• Update employees list with shift changes, new hires, terminations.
• Assist with first aid trauma bag and first aid supply maintenance.
• Creates schedules to for testing, trainings, and meetings.
• Takes notes for safety meetings.
• Assists in accident investigations
• Other duties as needed.
