We are currently looking for an ambitious, driven individual who is passionate about interior design to join our team as a full-time Sr. Project Coordinator. The Sr. Project Coordinator will be responsible for direct management of multiple ongoing projects within the Furniture and Procurement Division acting as a liaison between client and Principal; including client presentations, site visits, client meetings, site and space plan measurement, pricing, ordering, as well as working directly with vendors and subcontractors.

This is an in-person opportunity and candidates should be available to work in the Newport Beach office daily, with travel to the Beverly Hills office and client homes required. This position requires approximately 25-30% travel time, mostly within Southern California.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who is both experienced in and exceptionally passionate about ground up construction and remodel interior design for luxury spaces, with a level of attention to detail befitting of the luxury market. You will have a proven track record of success managing multiple ongoing projects and serving as the lead point of contact for client relationships. If asked for references, those who you’ve worked with previously, from in-house teams to clients to contractors and consultants, would all speak highly of your professionalism and positive demeanor in your communications.

You are highly adaptable and flexible and enjoy work that requires frequent shifts in direction. You are solution-oriented and will have a high level of product knowledge and a proactive ability to research, source, and specify finishes, materials, and furnishings in a variety of design aesthetics and budgets. You take direction extremely well, listen well, and are mindful to ensure you’re adhering to existing firm philosophies. Above all, you are a team player who thrives in high pressure environments to meet deadlines with enthusiasm, steadiness and calm.

What You’ll Do

The primary responsibilities for this position involve direct management of multiple ongoing projects and acting as a liaison between the client and the Principal Designer. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management of multiple residences varying in size / complexity to include furniture proposals, site measurements, subcontractor coordination, purchasing, tracking and installation of all interiors, furnishings, lighting, window treatments, carpets and accessories from concept to completion.
  • Owning the client relationship, including leading client presentations and meetings, conducting site visits, and answering questions.
  • Lead, plan, and deliver complete site installations, while meeting both firm and client expectations.
  • Digital Asset, file management & tech support.
  • Develop, produce, and manage all contract documents and deliverables including design concepts and presentations, construction drawings, and finish and material schedules and specifications.
  • Conduct site / space plan measurements.
  • Select, price and order textiles, materials and designing details, while meeting aesthetic requirements as well as time and goods budgets.
  • Collaborate positively and efficiently with the client, firm colleagues, third-party trade representatives and vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare quotes, budgets, proposals, specifications, and purchase orders.
  • Manage, assign tasks, review, and motivate junior team members.
  • Continuous refinement and improvement of design processes.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the US for any employer.
  • Must reside within (or be reasonably able to commute to) north Orange County.
  • Must have a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and an ability and willingness to travel between offices and client’s sites in Southern California approximately 30% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in all phases of interior design projects required; luxury preferred.
  • Tech savvy, skilled with G-Suite, including Google Sheets, Apple Pages, etc. required.
  • Proficient in Studio Web, Vectorworks and/or SketchUp, preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salaried, FLSA Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime)
  • Base Compensation Range: $80,000-$90,000/year Discretionary Bonuses
  • Paid Time Off: 10 Days Paid Vacation, 6 Paid Holidays and 3 Days Paid Sick Leave Office Closed between Christmas and New Year’s
