Immigration Specialist Position Summary:
The Immigration Specialist will support all company immigration matters and will be actively involved in the prefiling, filing, and post filing procedures.
Immigration Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and timely filing of employment-based immigration petitions with appropriate government agencies (DOL, USCIS, DOS).
- Ensure the completion of paperwork required for work visa and its related in timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop cross-company communication, collect and review data, and communicate immigration strategy.
- Support Immigration Program Manager with addressing concerns of stakeholders with regards to their immigration processes.
- Prepare and monitor case data for compliance, case management tracking, and departmental reporting.
- Assist in documentation of business improvements for internal EB immigration processing systems, and maintain and push forward multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work collaboratively across business functions (HR, Accounting, Payroll) on various compliance program initiatives.
- Assist with travel and other process expenses for seasonal workers and Immigration Program Manager.
- Arrange out-of-country, out-of-state, and inter-state travel for seasonal visa holders, schedule consular appointments where necessary.
- Review incoming mail, faxes, telephone calls, and other communications for appropriate handling and response.
- General administrative support duties for Immigration Department, and assist with reporting and data retention across all immigration matters.
Immigration Specialist Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to present complex information in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to efficiently manage conflicting priorities and a busy workload in order to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment that required critical thinking and acute attention to detail.
- Experience with H-2B immigration processes and data entry, including completing Form DS-160 and scheduling consular appointments. Experience with H-1B and PERM preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Spanish speaking proficiency preferred, but not required
