What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer– Internship – Summer 2025 position at DEKA Research & Development?
DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer Intern to join our software team and work in a dynamic R&D environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.
DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred. All summer internships must start no later than June 16, 2025.
How you will make an impact:
- Implement and update in C code using Qt Creator
- Learn software process including implementation from a design, code reviews, static analysis, unit testing and integration testing.
To be successful in this role you need the following skills and experience:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor Degree program for Computer Science and completed Sophomore year by the start of the internship
- Experience using Qt Creator and Qt Framework required.
- Experience using the C language required
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience with writing software for embedded systems a plus
- Experience with any medical devices a plus
- Experience with Squish GUI Testing platform a plus
- Experience with coding in Python a plus
- Knowledge of VectorCAST testing platform a plus
