Job Summary :
Transports individuals to directed destination according to program and agency guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides transportation to individuals within the agency; assists with boarding and exiting the vehicles; traveling the most efficient routes
- Performs routine maintenance and safety check of vehicles
- Promptly reports all accidents and mechanical breakdowns according to established policies and guidelines
- Inspects vehicles for safe operations utilizing safety equipment efficiently, ensuring the use of safety belts
- Assist with transporting individuals to hospitals, clinics, social functions, and / or other activities according to established guidelines and time frames
- Communicate individuals emerging behavioral and / or medical concerns to the supervisor within 24 hours of knowledge
- Maintain a valid and appropriate license to operate assigned vehicle
- Accurately record required mileage, fuel consumption, passenger information, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with agency policy and procedures
- Assist with Inventory Management (stocking, sorting, & delivering)
- Assist with monthly IDD Residential Deliveries (food shopping & deliveries)
- Assist with mail services
- Assist with transportation duties as assigned or needed as back-up
- Other duties assigned through Auxiliary Services
