POSITION : Maintenance
DESCRIPTION : Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 is seeking a candidate for a full time maintenance position. This position is responsible for addressing the maintenance needs of our school buildings to keep them in excellent condition for our students, staff, and community. This is a 12 month position. The daily hours are approximately 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm with some flexibility in these times.
QUALIFICATIONS : A team player with a positive attitude who is focused on the best interests of students. Good health as certified by a licensed physician with the ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks. A strong
work ethic and time management skills. Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair issues. A proactive approach in addressing preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements to the buildings in the district for the benefit of our students, staff, and community. Experience in general maintenance with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC experience preferred.
EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor and maintain building equipment and systems for optimal functionality.
- Complete general repairs and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district policies.
- Report building or equipment issues to the supervisor and provide recommendations for solutions.
STARTING SALARY : Based on experience
