Essential Job Duties
- Develop and define the strategy, goals, and objectives for the information security training, education, and awareness program, ensuring alignment with overarching information security goals and the risk management framework.
- Lead the program's progression toward maturity, establishing repeatable processes and metrics to ensure sustainability.
- Design and sustain a long-term program focused on transforming organizational culture and behaviors related to information security.
- Identify key human risks to the organization and implement strategies to modify behaviors that mitigate these risks.
- Adapt the program strategy to address emerging technologies and evolving cybersecurity risks.
- Customize information security training and awareness initiatives to reduce institutional risk associated with inadequate training..
- Align information security training programs with policy and compliance requirements (e.g., CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, HIPAA).
- Ensure the information security awareness program effectively communicates security policies and requirements, fostering understanding and adherence among all stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor, measure, and assess the impact of security awareness campaigns through defined metrics and report on trends and program outcomes to leadership.
- Develop or oversee the creation of security awareness materials such as newsletters, e-learning modules, videos, and interactive content, ensuring the program stays current and relevant.
- Represent the Information Security team in audit and assessment activities with internal or external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the Cyber Champions initiative and take charge of related governance committees to enhance the program's impact.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved accredited institution is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of teaching experience is required, with K-12 experience highly preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in instructional technology is preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security , GISF, (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity, or SANS SSAP are not required but are preferred..
