Title: Performance Coach III
Provides coaching, mentoring, and consulting support for new principals. Assists principals in developing a Performance Growth Plan and monitoring progress.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide support and assist with the development of the Principal Growth Plan for each leader focused on developing leadership knowledge, skills, abilities, and dispositions.
- Conduct a minimum of twelve coaching sessions with each principal based on the principal’s years in their position.
- Participate and engage in two principals’ support team sessions (mid-year and end-of-year) with the Regional Superintendents for planning and feedback purposes only (formative).
- Provide direct coaching to assigned principals focused on job performance, change management, delegation, continuous school improvement, and personal leadership skills.
- Assists each principal with implementing strategies, gathering evidence of impact artifacts, and developing the behaviors necessary to reach performance and professional goals and expectations.
- Monitor each assigned principal’s progress and evidence of impact.
- Co-facilitate the New Principal Academy and Aspiring Principal Academy as needed.
- Collaboratively design the New Principal Academy and Aspiring Principal Academy with Leadership Development colleagues.
- Provide executive coaching, group coaching, or team building to district department and division leaders as needed.
- Collaboratively plan and facilitate extended learning opportunities and initiatives for new principals.
- Document the time spent developing each principal using a log with clear, specific, objectives for each session.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in educational leadership, Education Administration, and Policy, or a related field with 9 - 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership, managerial/administrative level school administration, including experience as a principal, is required.
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level L-5, PL-6, or above.
