Title : Specialist I, Claims & Revenue
Under general supervision, obtains Federal and State funds for DeKalb County Nutrition Program; monitors daily cash deposits from school cafeterias to ensure appropriate handling of funds; prepares financial reports and prepares financial reports to meet state and federal compliance.
Essential Functions :

- Develops reports for federal and state compliance.
- Prepares monthly requisitions for federal funds reimbursement.
- Assists school nutrition managers with corrections and consolidation of monthly financial documents.
- Analyzes items and prepares adjusting journal entries for revenue accounts.
- Reconciles Clinet Access files daily.
- Provides training for school nutrition managers and other school nutrition personnel, as needed.
- Conducts annual reviews to assure compliance with school system, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Provides staff support and supervision in the absence of management.
- Verifies application and accuracy of state school lunch and verification processes.
- Provides technical support to school nutrition managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
