Title : Auditor, Senior Compliance
Oversee and manage comprehensive audit processes, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting, to identify control deficiencies, inefficiencies, fraud, and non-compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Apply methods such as mathematical modeling to develop information that aids in decision-making and policy formulation. This role requires expertise in the field and the ability to operate with limited oversight.
Essential Functions :
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert, providing guidance to colleagues as required.
- Complete complex analysis related to job functions, recommending solutions that involve consideration of multiple variables to enhance effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies.
- Develop and execute a cycle audit schedule for internal departments and manage a caseload of audits and investigations initiated from Fraud, Waste, and Abuse hotline reports.
- Collect, research, and analyze data to detect control deficiencies or inefficiencies and conduct root cause analysis to recommend process enhancements to improve productivity in business and fiscal operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings with recommendations for corrective actions and follow up with departmental management to ensure effective implementation of these actions.
- Lead special investigations and projects as required to maintain compliance and integrity within the school district.
- Facilitate business process modeling sessions with departments as part of collaborative process improvement efforts.
- Prepare manuals and train workers in new procedures or systems according to organizational policy.
- Administer the Auto Audit internal audit management system in collaboration with Information Technology staff and oversee functionality updates / upgrades while training internal staff on the system's use.
- Act as a supervisor for business process audits / investigations teams and serve as the responsive party for the Office of Audits & Compliance during the Director's absence if needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
