What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Girls Volleyball Coach position at DeKalb High School?
DeKalb High School is looking for the next leader of its girls volleyball program. We are a 3A volleyball school competing in the NE8 conference and sectional #21. School enrollment is currently at 1,050 students. We are located about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne in Waterloo, IN. The program will return several varsity players from last year’s roster and consistently field freshmen, JV, and Varsity teams.
This position will be responsible for:
- Building personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and community members.
- Preparing for and coordinating practices and events, maintaining and inventorying equipment, encouraging player development at all levels, and making recommendations to the Athletic Director.
- Accepting and implementing the co-curricular philosophy of Dekalb High School.
- Following the rules and regulations of the school, the NE8 conference, and the IHSAA.
- Viewing the rules interpretation meeting held by the IHSAA.
- Maintaining a membership in the appropriate coaches association and participating so that our school has representation.
