Job Description
CLASSIFICATION: Shop
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in manufacturing facility. Occasional driving required.
JOB SUMMARY: Deliver raw materials to production lines, remove finished goods from production line and deliver to warehouse, maintain the warehouse in a manor suitable to the Plant Manager. Ship and receive material from customers and suppliers. From time to time must be willing to perform other tasks as specified by members of management.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY: Performs duties with a medium level of supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load and unload trucks
Tag and lot in parts plus identify parts that are not in the receiving system.
Verify parts and packaging using Job Setup Instructions.
Review received orders against PO’s
Distribute parts to production lines.
Manage warehouse in clean and orderly fashion.
Check shipping tags and piece counts for accuracy before shipping.
Process weigh tickets.
Implement Nonconforming Procedure when nonconforming product is identified.
Stage chemicals and sign chemical certs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job involves continuous walking and standing. Some light lifting is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job and proficiency with computers.
