DEKRA North America’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,700 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $96,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct security assessments of IoT systems in alignment with EN18031 standards to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses.
- Document findings in a detailed technical report, addressing security risks, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses discovered during evaluations.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes relevant to IoT systems and EN18031 compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, development, and testing units, to ensure a secure IoT environment.
- Apply strong analytical skills to interpret and implement EN18031 security requirements effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, specifically in risk assessment and vulnerability analysis.
- Experience in the classification and evaluation of vulnerabilities, including exploit development.
- Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems and scripting languages such as Python and Bash (knowledge of C/C is a plus).
- Understanding of IoT communication protocols, including Wi-Fi, ZigBee, and MQTT.
- Basic understanding of IoT security frameworks, such as the OWASP IoT Top Ten preferred.
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar qualifications relevant to cybersecurity preferred.
- Participation in technology-focused communities like Stack Overflow, Hack The Box, or similar platforms preferred.
- Active contributions to the cybersecurity community will be considered a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., German, Spanish, Chinese) is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong aptitude for teamwork, particularly in an international and collaborative environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver results on time.
- Ability to interface and effectively work with various groups and cultures involved (partners, government, agencies, contractors, operations, etc.), and gain alignment to achieve objectives.
- Ability to lead by example and use influence internally to attain goals.
