Primary Responsibilities : Prepares rough-ins on new air conditioning and heating systems in residential new construction homes.
Specific Duties & Tasks :
- Select types of material according to the product being fabricated, knowledge of duct materials, and job standards and specifications.
- Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, wiring, and piping as directed
- May fabricate and install assemblies and systems in manufacturing plants or worksites according to blueprints, specifications, and other resource information using hand tools, portable power tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Measure, size, cut, and apply duct insulation
- Extensive knowledge in the process of making and repairing duct materials, copper, and composite parts.
- Obtain the required tools needed to perform all jobs assigned
- Arrive at job site at scheduled time and location as instructed
- Always maintain professional appearance and attitude
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Develop communication and teamwork skills with supervisors and co-workers on job sites
- Report any job and / or safety-related issues directly to the supervisor
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties / responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
